Carly Chaikin is an American actress best known for her roles on the sitcom Suburgatory and Mr. Robot. While her breakout roles weren't until the mid-2010s, she did begin her career in 2009 and had a role in The Last Song alongside Miley Cyrus.

Who Is Ryan Bunnell?

Ryan Bunnell is a lesser known public figure as he mainly a filmmaker and producer on television and film projects. Some of his well-known work include:

  • Project Runway. He was the Second Unit or Assistant Director.

  • MasterChef USA. He was the Second Unity or Assistant for 20 episodes.

Chaikin & Bunnell's Relationship Timeline

The couple was together for nearly five years before they got engaged in 2018. Chaikin shared the news of their engagement in September 2018 by showcasing her new ring on her Instagram account. In her post she said that she would've said yes to a proposal just one week in.

In November 2021, Chaikin shared a photo of the couple's wedding day and claimed the day and her dress were a dream. Then, in recent months, people noticed that Chaikin stopped wearing her wedding ring.

In February 2023, The Blast announced that Bunnell had filed for divorce. The reasons for the divorce being cited as irreconcilable differences. The couple does not have any kids, and details concerning whether Bunnell has asked for alimony have not been released.

Who Keeps the Wedding & Engagement Rings in a Divorce?

In the state of Pennsylvania, the division of marital property is subject to equitable distribution guidelines. This means that the court will divide marital property in a manner that is fair, but not necessarily equal, taking into account factors such as the length of the marriage and the income and earning potential of each spouse.

When it comes to wedding and engagement rings, these are considered marital property if purchased during the marriage. On the other hand, rings bought before your marriage will be considered the separate property of the person who made the initial purchase.

It is important to note that the court may consider factors such as sentimental value or traditional customs when determining the rightful ownership of wedding and engagement rings. While fault grounds or prenuptial agreements may be taken into consideration in the division of other marital property, they are unlikely to have a significant impact on the division of rings.
