What Is Remote Online Notary eSign Service?
Our remote online notary eSign services allows you to sign and notarize your divorce documents online quickly and conveniently. This process eliminates the need for in-person meetings or travel by using secure electronic platforms. You can electronically sign your divorce documents in the presence of our remote online notary within minutes, simplifying the start of your case. It typically takes less than 10 minutes.
Once you eSign your divorce documents online in the presence of our remote online notary, we will print and file them directly with the court. This system reduces the chance of errors and streamlines the overall divorce process, saving time and effort for everyone involved.
Note: Currently, we do NOT provide remote online notary eSign services for settlement agreements, name change documents, or deeds. We also do not notarize documents that we do not prepare. Those documents must be notarized separately by a different notary. Your eSign remote online notary is not an attorney and cannot give legal advice.
How Does Remote Online Notary Work?
The remote online notary process is simple and convenient. After payment, we will prepare your divorce documents and email them to you to review and verify. Once verified, an eSign scheduling link is sent by email. This link allows you to pick an appointment time that works best for you on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Before the eSign appointment, you will receive an email with the eSign appointment link. At the appointment, identity verification takes place using a series of five simple identity-related questions. These questions may involve details like a previous phone number, the name of someone associated with you, a prior address, or the model of a car you have owned.
You must answer at least four out of five questions correctly. If the first attempt is unsuccessful, another try is allowed. A 24-hour wait period, along with additional charges, applies after a second unsuccessful attempt.
Once identity verification is complete, you will sign your divorce documents electronically in our notary’s presence. The documents are prepared in advance and will be ready for you to sign during your appointment. After your divorce documents have been signed and notarized, we will print and file them with the court on your behalf. A copy of your signed and notarized documents are sent to you by email for your records. After filing, we will email you with the next steps for your case.
