Actor Richard Gere and his estranged wife, Carey Lowell are battling over an estimated $100 million in divorce court.

Though the couple, who have been married for 12 years, already settled the child custody portion of their divorce some time ago, they are still battling over Gere's millions.

The last time Gere appeared at the Manhattan Supreme Court, he angrily poked his umbrella at press photographers, however, this time the devout Buddhist was very calm and in control.

The Pretty Woman star allegedly flirted with a reporter in an elevator, and jokingly asked her if she wanted a "special, intimate interview."

Before entering the judge's chambers, Gere and Lowell had a friendly conversation while each read their own copies of The New York Times. Lowell, 54, a former "Bond girl" filed for divorce last year.

After meeting behind closed doors with the judge and each of the couple's respective attorneys for about 30 minutes, the former Law & Order actress exited the building down the same front steps featured on the popular television series, while Gere slipped through a back door.

Page Six reported that the couple split because Gere prefers to meditate while Lowell enjoys partying. A source said that the Buddhist actor craves privacy, while Lowell enjoys socializing with other bigwigs.

According to sources that talked to Page Six, Lowell feels as if she's given up her career for their family. Now that the couple's custody battle involving their 15-year-old son Henry James Jigme Gere was amicably settled, it's all about money.

The divorce all comes down to the couple's differences about their lifestyle. Gere prefers privacy and meditation while Lowell enjoys socializing in Hollywood.

Gere is known for his roles in Pretty Woman, An Officer and a Gentlemen, and Chicago. Lowell is known for her role as a "Bond girl" in License to Kill, and for her role as Attorney Jamie Ross on NBC's Law & Order.
